P. S. Srinivas

Dr P. S. Srinivas (Srini) is Visiting Research Professor at the East Asian Institute, National University of Singapore. His research focuses on China’s financial sector. Earlier he worked with the New Development Bank,  Shanghai  (2016-21); the World Bank, Washington DC (1996-2016); and the Asian Development Bank, Manila (1992-1996). He taught finance and public policy at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad during 2001-03 and 2010-15.  

 

Srini holds PhD (1993) and MA (1992) degrees from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA; an MBA (1987) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India; and a B. Tech in Chemical Engineering (1985) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.


Srini is an avid scuba diver with more than 500 dives, mostly in Asia and the Caribbean. His future plans include diving in other parts of the world. He is also an FAA certified private pilot and is working on his instrument flight rating (IFR).
